Whitsand Bay & Downderry
The western coast of the stunning Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall is marked by the huge stretch of sand at Whitsand Bay. With over 4 miles of perfect sand it is a great location for a self-catering holiday and wonderful all year round – be it for sandcastles in the summer or watching the waves crashing in the winter.
Just 10 miles from Plymouth, and stretching between the villages of Kingsand and Cawsand and the town of Looe, Whitsand Bay is a wonderful stretch of coastline punctuated by the peaceful villages of Portwrinkle and Downderry, both of which offer a great base for a relaxing holiday.
