The beautiful beach at Carbis Bay stretches for around a mile in length. Hawkes Point marks the East edge of Carbis Bay and the West of Carbis Bay is marked by Porthminster Point. At low tide, Carbis bay beach connects with Porthkidney sands and you are able to walk along the beach from Carbis Bay to the RSPB Nature Reserve there. Carbis Bay beach is particularly sheltered as it is protected by wooded cliffs that extend around the edge of Carbis Bay. Carbis Bay’s sheltered aspect means that Carbis Bay is not particularly well suited for surfing, but Carbis Bay is a lovely spot for families, swimming and walking. Carbis Bay is also a Blue Flag Beach. Dogs are allowed on Carbis Bay beach from October to Easter.
