Portreath is a small village nestled between the cliffs on the north coast of Cornwall between Newquay and St Ives. It has a small harbour with a long sandy beach and fantastic waves that were made for surfing and body boarding. The area has a rich mining heritage boasting over 30 miles of trails just waiting to be discovered by foot, bike or horseback.

The village itself is small and friendly with several shops, cafes and pubs in fact; one of the local 'watering holes' is situated in the middle of the beach! Within a short drive of Portreath you will find other activities including swimming pools, squash, badminton, outdoor bowls, horse riding and a choice of six golf courses.

Just a few miles north of Portreath is the ancient mining town of St Agnes. It is perfectly situated to give easy access to the South West Coastal Path with its stunning views, interesting flora and fauna and wide variety of wildlife. Inland there are wooded and parkland walks where wild flowers and many species of birds make the north Cornwall coast a twitcher’s delight.
