"Fantastic week. We spent our second week here and wished it had been both weeks. Honeysuckle was a cracking base to venture to beach and local area. Great welcome from Martin, Kim and family and would like to know who made the lovely chock cake. Great area with superb views and amenities. We particularly liked the beaches given the excellent weather which the kids loved. We only got to see approx 10% of intended so a return is already being discussed. Thanks again for the chilled, relaxing break." Sandra, Duncan, Catherine and James. July 2010.
"Have had a wonderful holiday in Honeysuckle Cottage. Cottage has everything you will ever need and the goodies on arrival – very sweet & welcoming. Thatched Tavern is a wonderful place to eat. Serendipity in Torquay for French cakes & Hanleys in Babbacombe for Fish & Chips is a must – 5* food, will miss this! Thanks." David and Elaine, July 2010.
"We came to stay in Honeysuckle because it was our Honeymoon! The kindness and generosity of Martin and Kim made our Honeymoon even more special. As a tip for future guests, make the most of the recommendations left in the amazing folder that Martin and Kim have prepared – especially the food guides! We ate out in some lovely restaurants but our favourite was Bianco’s – best meal ever! Also had some lovely coastal walks (Brixham to Broadsands & along Babbacombe Downs). We hope to be back very soon." Rachel and David, July 2010.

Full Property Description

History meets modern day luxuries in this beautifully restored barn at Old Manor Farm. Honeysuckle is part of The Old Manor Farmhouse, a 16th Century Devon longhouse, and has retained much original character such as stunning oak beams enfolded by the cob and stone structure and high, beamed vaulted ceilings.

Modern luxuries have been introduced such as king-size beds, roll top baths, Freeview TV/DVDs and washing machines to name a few. If you feel like a spot of indulgence there is pampering available on-site such as massages, manicures, pedicures or facials.

Honeysuckle is an excellent choice anytime of the year. It is ideal for a family or two couples wishing to holiday together since both bedrooms can be made up into twin or double beds. There is a large communal garden enclosed with stone walls and apple trees from the old orchard, BBQ area with furniture and a trampoline for the children. Ample parking is also available.

Honeysuckle is excellently situated within Torquay where you will find a diverse range of activities available to you whether you're into the country side, beaches, shops, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, bars, clubs, golf, sailing, tennis, squash, diving, fishing, tenpin and green bowling, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis and pools! Whether you like to walk, rest or play there is something for all.

Nearby there is an excellent selection of local shops while Torquay town centre, the harbour and beaches are a short drive away. Watcombe Beach is 1/2 mile away and offers free parking at the top of the incline allowing you to access either the South West Coast path or the beach.

The beach at Watcombe is accessed via a fairly steep slope however provides spectacular scenery and secluded beach with a beach cafe. It is dog friendly all year round. If you don’t want the walk down, try one of Torquays other 21 beaches, with Oddicombe and its tram just along to the right.
