Meander along the pretty narrow streets and historic harbours and you will find a welcoming selection of gift shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants and bars.

Head towards the coast and you will be greeted with an amazing selection of golden beaches and hidden coves. For the adventurous among us, water sports are available at many of the larger beaches while the smaller coves offer a peaceful retreat and are perfect for relaxing with a good book and a picnic.

Full Property Description

Located just 10 minutes from Totnes between the moors and the sea, East Leigh is a delightful cottage tucked away in a beautiful rural location with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside and the hills of the South Hams.

The cottage was built from stone and cob around 200 years ago and oozes character with wooden beams and timber frame panels. It is well appointed throughout and benefits from a secluded garden, three patios and parking for 3-4 cars.

It benefits from a close proximity to both Dartmoor and the numerous sandy beaches of the South Hams and Torbay, both being only half an hours drive away.

Living

  • A cosy living area with a traditional wood burner, wooden beams and timber frame panels and views over the front and back gardens.
  • Furniture is in keeping with the cottage style and includes 2x two seater sofas and 1x arm chair in green velour, antique coffee table and dresser.
  • Entertainment is provided by a flatscreen TV with Freeview, DVD and video player, Hi-fi with CD, cassette and radio, plus a selection of board games, DVD's, videos and books.

Kitchen

  • Located off the living area the kitchen is of a traditional country design with an electric oven and grill, ceramic hob, dishwasher, 2 fridges and freezer.
  • There is a utility room / conservatory off the kitchen where you will find a washing machine, dryer, table and chairs.
  • There is a full range of utensils and accessories provided including microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, 2x food mixers and a bread maker.

Dining

  • The dining area is situated within the living area and also has views of the front and back gardens.
  • Furnished with an antique dining table and 6 matching chairs.

Sleeping

  • Views over the rear garden and countryside.
  • Furnished with a double bed, 2x bedside tables both with lamps, triple pine wardrobe, 1x six drawer chest and a mirror.
