The picturesque fishing town of Looe is situated on the spectacular South Cornwall Coast in a largely unspoilt area of the South West. The town comprises of two villages, East Looe and West Looe, which are divided by the waters of the River Looe Estuary. There is a wide range of restaurants and cafes, many of them on the quay, where you can sample the local fish and watch the sun go down over the river. Traditional Inns and cosy pubs are tucked away in the narrow streets and offer a relaxed atmosphere. Three miles to the West of Looe is the quaint fishing village of Polperro. The towns are characterised by their narrow cobbled streets, steeped in history and full of stories and legends of smugglers and fishing.

Sandwiched between the two towns are a collection of hidden coves and spectacular sandy beaches ideal for swimming, walking or just relaxing. The world famous Eden Project is in the neighbouring town of St. Austell and the historic city of Plymouth, with it’s shops, sights and attractions, is within a short drive.

Full Property Description

Swallow Cottage has a lovely rural setting in beautiful open countryside yet is just a short drive away from the picturesque fishing village of Looe with its sandy beach, traditional inns and restaurants. The South West Coastal Path is within easy walking distance affording beautiful views across the South Cornwall coast. This is a delightful property to relax in any time of the year.

Please note: This property can be booked together with Barn Owl Cottage to accommodate up to 8 guests.

Living

The entrance to Swallow Cottage is via a wooden stable door into the open plan living area which features a cosy sofa and coffee table.
Entertainment is provided by a TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player and a selection of books.

Kitchen

Appliances include an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.

Dining

The dining area is situated in the open living area, adjacent to the kitchen, and features a pine table and 4 chairs.

Master bedroom with en-suite

The master bedroom features a double bed, 2 bedside tables with lamps.
Beautiful rural views and lovely exposed beams.
The en-suite comprises a wash basin and w.c.

The second bedroom, on the ground floor, features twin beds with 2 bedside tables and lamps.

There is a wet room downstairs which features a shower unit with wash basin, w.c. and shaver point.

Swallow Cottage has a south facing private patio area which is great for barbeques and relaxing on long summer evenings.
The cottage also benefits from countryside views and a shared paddock (with Barn Owl Cottage) which has an assortment of mature plants.
