A cosy market town nestled in the North Devon countryside, Holsworthy bubbles over with quaint local charm and tradition, with picturesque views of the rolling countryside of North Devon to be appreciated on the Ruby Country walking or cycling routes. With a host of fabulous local attractions just a short drive away, including tank museums, stately homes and ancient castles, as well as the gorgeous seaside town of Bude, with its sunny beaches and plethora of watersports on offer.

Golf, bowls and two top fitness centres will keep you active during your stay, while nearby Bude offers paintballing, rock climbing, pitch and putt and ten pin bowling, as well as a variety of watersports and two further golf courses. All this combined with fabulous culinary options, a small selection of locally owned shops and masses to keep the kids busy during your stay, a break in Holsworthy is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Full Property Description

Glebe House Cottages form a beautiful collection of early 19th Century listed buildings in an idyllic and unspoiled countryside setting. With Bude’s award winning beaches and the sweeping North Cornwall coast within 10 minutes, plus the Ruby Country’s walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing on the doorstep, Glebe House is the perfect location for couples and families alike.

The property is child friendly with few ornaments to knock over, a stair gate and a limited babysitting service is available during the summer months.

The cottages are set in 5 acres of formal gardens and established woodland where children can explore and adults can find their own quiet spot. On site there is also a children’s play area, a laundry room, a games room, evening bar (by arrangement) and beach toys available for guests.

Warm fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolat are available to order as breakfast baskets each morning, and a range of freshly cooked meals and matching wines are on offer - so you can enjoy your days knowing that the evening’s catering for the family will be both easy and a treat!

Little Barn has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area upstairs. Downstairs are two bedrooms, including a kingsize double bedroom and a superking size or twin bedroom with en-suite shower room. The third bedroom is a gallery bedroom with twin beds, up off the living area.

Little Barn can be linked with The Granary to accommodate up to 12 people.

Living

  • The first floor living room is a large space open to the rafters, with fabulous views across the gardens and countryside beyond.
  • There is a comfortable three piece suite, fireplace, display cupboard and coffee table.
  • Entertainment is provided by a T.V. with Freeview, DVD player and a DAB hi-fi system (including an mp3 player input).
  • A further space provides a quiet area with desk, chair and a selection of books, away from the main living area.

Kitchen

  • The kitchen is equipped with a fridge with ice making compartment, microwave, electric hob and double oven ample workspace.
  • There is a kettle, toaster and coffee maker and a full range of cutlery and crockery. 

Dining

  • An extendable dining table and six chairs provide ample seating for family dining. There are also two bar stools in the kitchen area.

Master Bedroom

  • Features a double bed, chair, and storage provided by a built-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers. 

Bedroom Two

  • Twin single beds which can also be combined to make a superking bed.
  • On each side of the bed is a table and lamp.
  • There is a large double wardrobe and chest of drawers to provide storage.
  • En-suite bathroom.

Bedroom Three

  • A gallery bedroom up off the upstairs living space.
  • There are two single beds, a chest of drawers plus bedside lamps and a wooden chair.

  • The family bathroom has a corner bath with a shower over. There is also a wash basin with a mirror and lamp/shaver socket above and a w.c. 

En-suite Bathroom to Bedroom Two

  • The en-suite has a tiled floor and an exposed beam over the curtained window.
  • There is a shower cubicle, w.c. and washbasin with a large mirror, lamp and shaver socket.

  • Located just a few miles from the beach.
  • Heated outdoor swimming pool (4'8" deep and is available from Easter to the end of September).
