Dawlish is a charming, characterful town sat on the seafront on Brunel’s South Coast Railway. With architecture heavily influenced by the Georgian and Victorian periods and a park running through its town centre, Dawlish is a picture-postcard sewaside town offering beaches and rolling countryside. Through the central park runs a brook where you will find rare black swans, and other wildfowl - a truly peaceful haven.

At night, coloured lights bring the town to life, washing the skyline in beautiful light, making for a truly romantic evening stroll. There are three beaches, including a Blue Flag beach at nearby Dawlish Warren, and much to explore along the coastline of Devon, from the English Riviera to the Exe Estuary.

Little Thatch is a newly re-furbished apartment within a charming thatched cottage, situated in the quaint village of Cockwood.  The peaceful location and beautiful surroundings make for a truly special romantic retreat.

The property benefits from a central location in the village within a few minutes walk of two traditional pubs serving good, hearty pub food. A scenic 10 minute walk or short drive along the estuary takes you to the larger village of Starcross which is home to a late opening store ensuring all essentials can be bought.

The pretty coastal town of Dawlish Warren with its golf course, attractions and sand-dune backed blue flag beach is just two miles away. For culture vultures and shopaholics, the historic Cathedral City of Exeter is within a twenty minute drive and is connected to Cockwood by a regular bus service.
