This former fisherman’s maisonette is arranged on three floors and has been completely modernised throughout with contemporary neutral décor and lighting, giving a totally 21st century feel to this lovely period house. Furnished in minimalist style, the whole aura is one of space.

The property sits directly above the Golden Hind replica, with views of the harbour from every floor. It will take you just a minute to walk to the harbour, with its shops, cafés, restaurants.

Brixham is fast becoming one of the South West’s upmarket resorts, and has embraced café society to the full. Just walk along the harbour and see all the people sitting outside dining while watching the boats on the water. Early risers will be able to watch the trawlers land in the mornings, sea cruises round Torbay and Dartmouth are also popular, as is taking a walk across the cliffs at Berry Head or hunting for fossils at St Mary’s Bay – the list of activities is endless!

  • After your days activities relax in this light and warm room in one of the two, two-seater leather sofas.
  • Entertainment is provided by a TV, which has Freeview and Sky, with a built in stereo radio.

  • Walk-in wardrobe with hanging space and shelving provides plenty of storage space, and there is also a bedside chest, shared between the two beds.

  • On the same floor as bedroom 2, this bedroom is furnished with bunk beds, a double wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

Brixham 

Brixham is a quaint fishing town and with its cafés, bars, shops and restaurants, including the fish restaurants serving the daily local catches, it’s no wonder this is a favourite destination for people of all ages. While fishing is Brixham’s main industry, it is also reinventing itself as an upmarket tourist resort, with quality food shops such as the Brixham Deli, cafés such as Number 11, and bars such as the Yard Arms. The focal point of the harbour gives the town a continental feel, especially in the summer, when you can sit outside and enjoy fish which has been caught that very morning.

In September South Devon hosts a walking festival with a wide variety of activities taking place. For more information on the festival please see http://www.southdevonwalkingfestival.co.uk/.

Booking notes

  • A deposit of 1/3 of the total price is required to secure a property. The balance is due six weeks before arrival.
  • For bookings arriving within 6 weeks, payment must be made in full by debit or credit card.
  • Only weekly (or multiples of) bookings are accepted in July and August. The changeover date is Saturday unless otherwise stated.
  • Short breaks (min. 3 nights) are accepted at other times of the year unless otherwise stated.
  • A non-refundable £19.50 booking fee is applicable to all bookings.
  • All properties are non-smoking.
  • Pets are accepted in certain properties where stated.
  • Bookings made by credit card will be charged a handling fee.
  • There is no booking charge for debit cards.
