We ask owners to ensure their property meets the expectations of guests and that they are met with a friendly welcome after what can often be a long journey. Our owners typically employ a local property manager or agency to ensure the property is cleaned, linen is changed, that the guest is met at the point of arrival and that any problems are addressed during their stay.
Holidays booked through Blue Chip Vacations include bedding, towels and energy costs in the price, as you would expect with this standard of accommodation. Blue Chip Vacations can provide advice and guidance for owners on this important aspect of holiday home rental.

When signing up to promote your property Blue Chip Vacations pays for annual assessments to the Quality in Tourism scheme after the first year.
Owner Frequently Asked Questions
How much can I earn from my property?
This depends on a number of factors including property size, location, facilities, the view and external factors such as demand and the economy. We carefully rate each property and place it in an appropriate price band to optimize the number of bookings whilst earning the maximum amount of income for the owner.
Can I use the property myself?
Yes, we actively encourage owners to use their properties, especially out of season. Our standard contract allows a minimum of 6 weeks per year, but to ensure highest income on the property only one week should be taken in July or August. Of course, we are happy to discuss owners’ specific requirements.
How do I receive my money?
Owners are paid monthly by electronic bank transfer for stays which complete before the end of the previous month. Owners also receive a monthly bookings statement showing a breakdown of earnings and future bookings.
Do I need to take out extra insurance?
Property owners’ insurance must cover both public liability and the use of the property for holiday lets.
Are there any sign up costs?
Blue Chip Vacations do not charge a set up or sign on fee, although owners pay for the Visit Britain/Quality in Tourism assessment, which is administered through Blue Chip.
