Exmoor holidays

Exmoor is a stunning setting for a holiday. Why not explore Exmoor on foot, bike or horse and get back to nature. You are sure to see a huge variety of wildlife on an Exmoor holiday – from the famous Exmoor ponies to deer and birds of prey – you might even catch a glimpse of an otter or a Kingfisher. Exmoor is packed with fascinating historical sites such as Tarr Steps and Dunster Castle, or for something even older, why not check out Exmoor’s boulder strewn landscape at the “Valley of the Rocks” near Lynton. Exmoor is speckled with beautiful villages and small towns, nestled into sheltered valleys and often unchanged for hundreds of years.

Exmoor coast

The Exmoor coast stretches from Coombe Martin in the West of Exmoor to Minehead in the East of Exmoor. The Exmoor coast is a breathtaking Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Exmoor coast is punctuated with secluded coves and charming fishing towns and villages such as Lynmouth and Porlock. The rugged cliffs and steep wooded valleys that typify the Exmoor coast make it a very dramatic stretch of the South West Coast Path.

Travelling to Exmoor

Exmoor has very good transport links. By road, Exmoor is less than 15 miles from the M5 motorway and the North Devon Link Road, (the A361).
