Active Exeter Holidays

Exeter is surrounding by beautiful countryside, and there are many opportunities for an active holiday in Exeter and the local area.  Within Exeter there is the Riverside Valley Park, running for 7 miles from Exeter to Topsham – a great backdrop for walkers, cyclists, wildlife enthusiasts and for boat trips. From Exeter’s Historic Quay, it is possible to hire canoes, kayaks and bicycles to explore the Exeter Ship Canal.  Exeter has some excellent golf courses for both beginners and more experienced players.  For a faster paced holiday in Exeter, there is a dry ski slope, paintballing and horse riding.  With Dartmoor less than 10 miles away, and proximity to the River Exe a huge range of outdoor pursuits and watersports are easily accessible on an Exeter holiday.

Exeter day trips
