Devon and Cornwall are ideal for dog friendly holidays, with rugged moors to explore, surf to play in, sand to dig in and numerous sticks to chase, the West Country is doggy heaven for your four legged friend. Choose your dates and criteria below.
We at Blue Chip Vacations realise that for some of our clients being able to stay in a four or five star self catering property in Devon or Cornwall that welcomes pets is extremely important. For that reason, we have a wide selection of properties from stylish apartments to cosy cottages that will get your dogs tail wagging, such as the Waves Apartments in Cornwall, just yards from dog friendly Watergate Bay and within easy access of the coastline trail. With all our pet friendly properties there are a few terms and conditions, probably not much more than you would expect at home - no dogs on the furniture, clear up after them and ensure they are well behaved. For each dog there is a small charge of £23 to allow for the extra cleaning that is required on your departure.
Though Devon and Cornwall are ideal for dog friendly holidays, during the summer months (from May 1st to October 1st) some beaches do have a dog ban. The website, Lots To Do, tells you which beaches in Devon enforce this ban, whilst Cornwall Beach Guide will put you in the picture in Cornwall. Please remember to 'Scoop the Poop' and keep the beaches and countryside dog friendly for everyone, and if you’re walking on the moors make sure your dog is under control where there are animals grazing. You may sometimes be required to put your dog on a lead but this is usually clearly indicated.
We’re confident that both you and your dog will have a wonderful dog friendly holiday with us in the West Country.
