Bude
Sat on the northern coast of Cornwall, Bude combines a charming, nostalgic seaside holiday town with an exciting, lively atmosphere. From the harbour and canal locks to the rolling countryside and beyond, Bude comes complete with beautiful views of both coast and country. With history stretching back to early Christian settlers and some of the best surfing conditions in the country, Bude is an active town with much to see and do.
Attractions in the area include a number of military collections (one including the opportunity to drive a tank!), castles and stately homes, and a number of places go horse riding, possibly the best way to take in the majestic views. Just off the coast, Lundy Island acts as Budes fascinating personal nature reserve.
The choice of four unique beaches greets Budes guests, one with its own waterfall and another with ideal surfing conditions, while a wide range of bistros, Inns and restaurants, some boasting beautiful views of Bude’s rugged coastline, offer a fine array of gastronomic options. For a more active break, fishing, golf and horse riding are all available in and around the town.
