Anyone who has ever visited the picturesque Devon seaside town of Brixham will be only too aware that it has many secret sides just waiting to be explored. Well now this status has been officially confirmed within the June edition of Lonely Planet’s “5O New Travel Secrets” feature.

The feature focuses on worldwide locations that may never have been heard of previously, fallen off the travel radar or simply have a hidden side to an existing popular destination. Rubbing shoulders with travel heavyweights such as Victoria Falls, Venice, Honduras and Melbourne (to name a few included in the list), the reference to Brixham highlights the Golden Hind and history of Prince William of Orange.
