How I became the BCV dog-blogger: My partner and I have always adored dogs and when we bought our first house this was the perfect opportunity to have one of our own! We adopted Deefa, a 10 week old English Bullmastiff in April 2007. As dog lovers, we are always looking into new activities to get Deefa involved in and new walks to keep his mind stimulated. This blog is the perfect opportunity for me to help like minded dog lovers who wish to travel with their canine companions. I will be finding the best dog-friendly beaches, walks, local activities and more to pass onto you in order to ensure that you and your dog have the perfect holiday in the South West!

Favorite Walk: Deefa loves going for walks at Sharkham Point in Brixham. From here we can enjoy a stunning coastal walk to either Berry Head or Mansands Beach, depending on how energetic Deefa is feeling! Alternatively, Deefa loves nothing more than heading down to St Mary's Bay where he meets new friends and enjoys dipping his paws into the sea!

Funniest dog story: I think the funniest moment was when Deefa was 6 months old. I was making myself some lunch and had a block of cheese and a loaf of bread on the kitchen worktop. Having been out of the kitchen for no longer then 1 minute I returned to find that the block of cheese had disappeared, was I going mad?! No, Deefa had sneakily jumped up and helped himself to the cheese and taken it out onto the lawn to have a nice snack!!
